Common Good Discovery Package

For any group whose members are struggling with the impact of health issues in their lives, who are heading somewhere they do not want to go, and who are ready, willing and able to take small incremental steps that get them to where they need to be.

Humankind can shift and recognise that change is possible

The problem

A tipping point of non-affordability for many member-based groups has arrived.

The new normal for members who have chronic diseases within their family is that they cannot afford to be or get ill.
When combined with other rising costs of living, life circumstances that compound grief, stress and hopelessness, may be too much for many to bear alone.

The good idea

To provide a proven methodology, training and tools to groups who need to help their members.

  • Each member can self-discover what incremental steps will work for them based on their condition and life circumstances.

  • Enable members to reduce the painful impacts of the problem to reach a point that they determine will enable them to get on with life.

  • Transfer skills, know-how, and the collective knowledge of what works for members to make a difference.

  • Support a group coordinator who can leverage the collective intent to make a meaningful and verifiable difference in what matters to them.

What does success look like for those who give it a go?

How it works

Enabling a light bulb moment where the impossible becomes the probable for each member

  • Each member attends a minimum of 10 group meetings over a 6 month period to get help on how to do the surveys

  • Sense-Making: to self-determine the probability of a chosen solution-set to deliver sufficient benefit and value impact within the context of a member getting to where they need to be

  • The App generates a structured narrative that includes their story, analytics and discovery of what works for comparisons.

What happens

Our Grounded Research proved that sentiment changes from I can't.. to…. I can.. to… I did it…. when we make relevant choices

Sentiment changes from feeling lost, trapped and hopeless to a sense of being in charge. Through self-tracking progress they can record the value impact of their improved experience and what this means to them. The more relevant the solutions are to reducing the pain impact, the further they go. The sense of achievement sustains the journey, and lives become transformed.

Moreover, each member controls their own data and the analytics they generate. They can share their nonidentifiable analytics within the group and what may be required for the common good discovery.

Our discovery programs invite individuals or groups to participate in proving the value impact of lifestyle change on their health and their lives.

Proving the value of lifestyle change has never been done before mainly because there are so many variables in our lives, most of these subjective and changeable over time. How does one measure value when life itself is a moving target, and our personal needs and aspirations change from year to year

In our model we invite you to tell your story, drawing to the surface what is painful and what is meaningful, so that you can define your own problems and your criteria for measuring progress. We allow you to sit with your story and tap into your own strengths to find solutions that could work only for you.

The Common Good Discovery App is your personal journal where you can unpack your problems and pain, think about what you would like your life to look like at the first step, and then experience that possibility by discovering that you already have, or can get, what you need, right now.

That light-bulb moment is the point at which the odds suddenly stack in your favour, and the journey becomes probable.

Over the six-month time frame you can add to your story, track and measure your progress, re-connecting with what and who you are. By the end of this chapter you will have a complete account of how you got to where you are now, what it took, what you experienced and what this has meant to you.

When people sit with their story they have an opportunity to look inside at who they are and what they have. They can tap into their own strengths and find solutions for themselves, treading their own path and kindling their own light.

It is then, and only then, that we are able to take the reins and the responsibility for what we do and how we act. We can be present for what we care about and when the journey is completed, we can acknowledge who we are and what we have accomplished.
